Peede Trails

This is an informational website run by community members in the Peede-Brock-Repp area of North Pole, Alaska, and concerns the nearby public land, variously known as Peede Trails, Chena Annex, Heritage Park/Forest, or Repp Forest.

Our group is active in trying to maintain public access to this land. In 2019 we engaged with the Fairbanks North Star Borough (FNSB) after land sales were proposed in the area, and in 2020 we worked with the FNSB Planning Commission to re-zone part of the area to ‘Outdoor Recreation’. We have submitted trail improvement plans to the Borough’s Capital Improvement Program, and look forward to working with the Borough again during the 2021 revision of the Comprehensive Trails Plan.

2021-06-12 NEWS: The Borough Land Management department has proposed 23 acres just east of the Peede/Brock parking area as a Public Use Firewood logging area. See map.
